Hi everyone, I do apologize for probably asking the same question that has been here many times however the posts I found were like 3-4 years old so maybe there are some different conditions now then they used to be. I am originaly from Europe but I lived and worked in Scotland (part of the United Kingdom, just in case) for the last 11 years. At the moment I live with my family in Canada. Got here on one of those provincional programs and I’m driving a semi mostly between California and Canada. I am not in Canada very long but I’m kinda dissapointed. I didn’t move from UK to become rich here by working as a semi driver but the reality is different then I expected and then I’ve been told, by the company of course. Now I’m starting to play with an idea of the USA. I know that you must work everywhere for a living but the offering wages for truckers that I see and prices for a daily living are looking much more better down here in the states ( where I spent most of my time anyway).
I was wondering if there is some legal way of getting a work permit in the US for ex european, currently living in Canada truck driver?
Thanks a lot for any advice.
