Applying with a suspension on record

3 years ago I had my license suspended due to a ticket for no insurance, got my license back a year later and have no other infractions. Now I'm looking to apply for a company sponsored cdl program but so far have been turned down because of this suspension, are there any companies maybe willing to overlook this or am I just screwed?
