Pre-Employment Hair Follicle Testing
Thanks for your reply, I will be definitely be honest about it, there is nothing to gain with lying.
Roehl will probably report it, especially with the new Drug and Substance Abuse Clearinghouse Data site that is getting set to start shortly. Additionally, every company application has a question that asks, “Have you EVER FAILED a drug test?”. You cannot lie, because that indicates you have no integrity. The truth will come out during the comprehensive background checks these companies AND their insurance providers perform. If that were to happen (lying on the application about a failed test), you would never get a job driving anything other than a wheelbarrel on a construction site.

Pre-Employment Hair Follicle Testing
Damn, that's what I'm thinking, I screwed up big time, but If it's not DOT mandatory and I'm technically not an employee and didn't make it to orientation, would it still be reported and what if I try with another company that only does urine, I mean I have my medical report and medical card that says I'm clean, does that not count at all?
It’s a failed drug test and that IS the bottom line. Kiss of death for a perspective driver for several years. Poor decision that has dire consequences in this industry.

Pre-Employment Hair Follicle Testing
Yeah, but at the time I was in incredible pain and wasn't even thinking about it or trucking. I've had 3 back surgeries and fusion and the disk above is herniated and I was just trying to hold over until my epidural pain shot, but you are correct.
It will definitely hurt, you will now have to answer yes to the question if you ever failed a drug test. Plus you should really poor judgement by taking a pill that didnt belong to you.

Pre-Employment Hair Follicle Testing
I took a half of a pain pill a few months ago because I was having back pain to hold me over until my epidural pain shot.Sorry, not buying it. 1/2 of a pain pill 2 months ago wouldn't come close to triggering a positive hair test. Nope!
Well it's the truth, don't care if you buy it or not and obviously it triggerd a positive result.

Pre-Employment Hair Follicle Testing
Hello, I've recently conducted a pre employment physical for urine and hair, I've passed my physical and received my medical card but failed the hair test because I took a half of a pain pill a few months ago because I was having back pain to hold me over until my epidural pain shot. Will this go on my DAC report even though I have not made it to orientation. The company is with Roehl. I was prescribed pain medication years ago but this pill was not a prescription, it was prescribed to my wife. I'm not a druggie or addict, I dont even drink alcohol and I'm worried I will be viewed as such. Will this hurt my chances of future employment with other companies? Please help!

Thanks for you reply, I will definitely not lie about, there's nothing to gain from it. **** happens and I'm responsible for my actions. Had I known before hand that the pain medication stays in your hair like that, I would have postponed taking my physical, I truly was not thinking about it. I thought I was good to go but it sucks because my system is clean as per my urinalysis, I don't smoke weed or drink alcohol, but a half a pill taken a month or so ago has derailed me. Such is life, you learn from your mistakes and move forward.
