Walmart is the least expensive way to do this. Or your company can advance some money to you at a truck stop through your fuel card or even a commdata check, or similar item that you'd use to pay lumpers with.

Some Comdata cards you can use at the ATM. I've pulled out cash advances that way, but if you get fuel, it's better than paying the ATM fee.

Did you ask to be deadheaded? A couple of months ago I was stranded in the Northwest. I made a call to my Fleet Mgr. Was promptly deadheaded almost 500 miles to a "freight zone" Be proactive and polite. Good luck!

I did not ask, which I probably should have. But I figured I was in a deadzone, considering there are other mega carriers that have been parked here for the same amount of time as I have, which one of them being here before we got here. But I wasn't expecting to wait all weekend for a load.

Yeah she's still on the road with me, and so far she enjoys it besides all this waiting... She hates waiting around. The first few days I slept on the top bunk, but we figured out how we can both sleep on the bottom bunk without being uncomfortable which I'm glad because it gets pretty hot up there...

My wife and I sleep on opposite ends of the bed and that seems to work, but yeah, it gets hot up there.

With my experience on bus rides, always expect them to be late. That is a bit more than I would have expected, though. Good luck!

I was just coming out of New Jersey on I-80 through Pennsylvania and I noticed there were fewer trucks sitting at the rest areas and truck stops than there usually was for that time of night. It would appear there isn't much going in the North East.

I can't remember exactly, but I know it has to do with experience. D is student driver with Prime, C is student driver from a private (or another employer with no experience on the road past training) CDL school, B2 I believe it's less than 3 months, and B1 is 3-6 months.

Those numbers may not be completely accurate, but there is some truth behind it.

I would like to say that my wife and I help each other out in particularly tight spaces. Since we're a couple, the dynamic is a little different than some others, but we do help each other out from time to time.

Here at Prime, we are driven by the best and continually looking to be even better! Due to large growth in the last year, unprecedented low turnover, and limited availability of equipment, we are making some changes to our training program intervals and the upgrade process starting in June. In March, we adjusted our hiring areas for incoming drivers, as well. Our goals with these changes are to ensure that we protect the earning potential and maximize the utilization of our current drivers. We have adjusted the TNT mileage requirements and upgrade process for any NEW drivers starting the orientation week of June 3rd. This change below does NOT affect current trainees already at Prime.

New TNT Mileage Requirements: B1 Seats: Required to obtain a minimum 25,000 team miles with a Prime Trainer. ----$800/week guarantee as long as they are available for dispatch until upgrade

B2 Seats: Required to obtain a minimum 40,000 team miles with a Prime Trainer. ----Before 40k is reached: $700/week guarantee as long as they are available for dispatch ----After 40k is reached until upgrade: $800/week guarantee as long as they are available for dispatch

C Seats: Required to obtain a minimum 60,000 team miles with a Prime Trainer ----1st 30 days: $600/week guarantee as long as they are available for dispatch ----After 30 days until 40k is reached: $700/week guarantee as long as they are available for dispatch ----After 40k is reached until upgrade $800/week guarantee as long as they are available for dispatch

D Seats: Required to obtain a minimum 50,000 team miles with a Prime Trainer after obtaining CDL. ----Before 40k is reached: $700/week guarantee as long as they are available for dispatch ----After 40k is reached until upgrade: $800/week guarantee as long as they are available for dispatch Once the minimum mileage goal is met, the trainee will become eligible for review for upgrade. It would appear so. You might not have to do the 50k miles, but you may be with a trainer a not longer due to truck availability. That part of the policy is already in effect, just not the updated miles. It appears that goes in effect for students starting on June 3rd.

I'm sorry, but I would have never left the terminal without an ELD. Then, after the officer escorted me to the truck stop, I DEFINITELY wouldn't have left there.
