Being a trucker in Europe for non-European Trucker?
Sertac, the best thing to do is speak directly with Turkish trucking companies who will have more information about trucking in Europe. Many Turkish drivers take routes in Europe, so they will have more information about how to do this. I think they may be granted three-month visas to be able to enter. I'm sorry for what ErdoÄŸan is doing to your country, hopefully he will have a stroke.

No driver's license during driver shortage = workable?
Some states require you to have held a regular driver's license for two years before they'll issue you a CDL, gotta check with your state's DMV.

Hey man, great to see you're still at it! Does Roehl have much local like that in Minnesota, and do you enjoy the account? Been thinking to settle up there when I come back to the States and Roehl was one of the companies that said they could take me on a (re)new license.

Driver pay from my perspective
Isn't it that a rookie stands to make around that much during the first year because they haven't learned to maximize their clock that much yet?

I really don't want to give up my Alaska residency.
I believe it's possible to maintain residency in more than one state, just that you can't have more than one driver's license. I think a tax accountant would be who you talk to to get more info on how that works; usually it's to be avoided because you can end up paying two states' income tax, but if I remember right Alaska doesn't have any.

Advice needed for new rookie getting first job
Impartial observer here. I've always figured Big Scott simply loves his company and wants to help it succeed. It would also be real easy for people who don't follow the forum regularly to perceive you to be a recruiter. Since the forum teaches paid CDL training as a best practice, it'd be important for it to not appear as though that wasn't merely being said because the forum is being run by the companies. I'm sure there is some middle ground there in how prospective drivers are being talked to about it.

Neither one does anything to prevent either infection or transmission.
Whether or not infection is 100% prevented isn't the only thing that matters though.
Donald Trump said:
"Now one thing: When you have the vaccine, people that do — and it’s a very small number relatively, but people that do get it — get better much quicker. And it’s very important to know. They don’t get nearly as sick, and they get better. Look, the results of the vaccine are very good, and if you do get it, it’s a very minor form. People aren’t dying when they take the vaccine."
