I remember MillionMiler28 , Brett was extremely pivotal into helping him getting back into trucking.

First a magazine and now memes!?!? Wont be long til I'm highest trending on Twitter rofl-3.gif

Michael there are many great stories from our members here. A couple that you may want to look at are a story about an accident that Persian Conversion had titled Life, death and resurrection of my trucking career unfortunately he doesnt come around anymore though.

We also have a member named MillionMiler24 that literally was homeless sleeping in a wooded area in Florida. Through his hard work he was able to successfully complete schooling for CRST and has since become a trainer for them. If you or anybody else is interested in hearing more here is his CRST training diary . I cant find the thread he discussed his living situation but this is from his profile

Became homeless in 2016 and looking to get back into trucking to get myself out of this situation. I figured this site is by far the best route to get myself out of this situation and back into making some good money so I can actually figure out what I want to do with my life. As of June 9th 2017, I have been accepted to restart my CDL training with CRST Expedited Trucking out of what is now going to be my new hometown of Cedar Rapids, IA (at least for BARE MINIMUM 1 year). As of June 30th, 2017 I have now REACQUIRED my Class A Iowa CDL through NADTA (North American Driver Training Academy) and CRST. Also as of 01/04/2018, I have now been approved through CRST's Safety Department to become a Lead Driver which is our version of a trainer. I have now as of 04:00PM CST on January 12, 2018 been officially certified as a Lead Driver. I thank everyone here at this site for their support that they have given me to restart my journey. I have prayed to God and he has answered my prayers.

Prime Lease Update

I will put in my 2 cents in the insurance aspect...Every load behind haul under a company's authority is covered by that company. They may charge the O/O or L/O a monthly fee for the coverage but any damages to the load falls under their cargo insurance since they are the ones on the BOL.

Occupational mostly known as Occ/Acc has similar coverage as Workers Comp but with a lot of limitations , any lawyer that truly earned his law degree can go around those limitations in a heart beat and make the company cover whatever limitations they have on the Occ/Acc policy which is why evry company that offers that coverage also gets a contingent liability policy to cover their behind. ...

Not-at-fault accident affecting insurance

Yeah get your MVR, and see i you are listed on there as an at-fault driver or get your LexisNexis report you can call them @ Customer service: 1 (800) 543-6862... they are the one that report every accident to the insurance companies. Even though you were hit from the back, there is always a little surcharge that comes with it on your insurance because we all have heard of all the scammers who brake hard in front of you so can hit them so that they can file an insurance claim so there is always a presumed at-fault aspect in it in the eyes of the insurance companies

Hey Rob. D

Hey neighbor , i am in hickory hills west of 87th and Roberts

Well I live in the Oak Lawn area. And my truck and yard is right next to O'hare airport. You're closer to O'hare. So if that's something you want to do let me know. I start early, around 3 normally. But usually pull back in by 2 depending on how the day goes.

We want our o/o to make a minimum of $4500 per week because we get 13% of that ..... a lot of production companies use box to meet their production deadlines because boxes do not face the same restrictions as 18 wheelers

Do so

If I buy a box truck tomorrow, and lease onto your company, what can you guarantee in writing for pay? If you don't want to talk about it in public, I can shoot you my email and we can discuss.

Yes you can expect that...... if you dont make money then we dont make money.... our goal is to keep you as busy as possible.... but remember we only do box

double-quotes-start.png

most of them run hard then take some few months of vacation to go to their countries...

Then no one is actually grossing $250,000 or netting $100,000? These are theoretically possible, but no one is actually doing it?

Is that much freight even available at that rate? If I bought a truck today, signed on with you, and said I would run 50 weeks next year could I expect 2,500 paid miles per week at an average of $2 per mile?

Like i said , we are a logistic company booking loads for them .... we dont want to go through the headaches that comes with owning a truck ... repairs . maintenance et al.... so we charge o/o 13% of their gross for which 1.5% goes to the factoring company ..... box trucks are mostly used b2y production companies that have production deadlines to meet which is why you have to gain the trust of the brokerage to run box trucks, once you have the reputation for on time delivery they use you more.... and Brett to answer your question yes if they were running 52 weeks a year they would but most of them run hard then take some few months of vacation to go to their countries...
