I am 44 years old and my kids are all grown up. I recently became unemployed so I am thinking it's time to finally get my cdl. My ex husband and I used to have our own truck and leased to McFarland but only my husband drove while I stayed home with our 10 kids and handled the paper end. I live in kansas and want a company that will pay for obtaining my license. Want to stay in the midwest for my first year until I feel comfortable and have the opportunity to bring a rider along sometimes. What company do you recommend to go with to start out? I'm overwhelmed by all the companys so thought I would ask here!
Also is it better to do company schools or independent ones? The closest one to me would require me to drive 2 and a half hours every day.
