Drivers license suspended for unpaid ticket.

Thank you all for the advice. Also I have contacted my DMV and when I go get my license I can take the CDL permit test and get my permit. I went to a medical examiner last week and got medically cleared. I've been studying for this test for almost 2 years. I'm choosing to stay out of the oilfield because work is not steady, in order to feed your family you have to go where they are busy so its really hard to get a good length of time in anywhere. I've never had any bad driving infractions or excessive speeding tickets. I can't deny that I was speeding when I got the ticket but I have been recovering from surgery and could not afford to pay it so they kept jacking up the fine. Now that I will be financially stable after fighting for over a year I can afford to pay the fine plus I will take a driving course that will wipe it off. I've been working really hard to get all of this done. Perhaps I can get someone to view my qualities.

Drivers license suspended for unpaid ticket.

I am actually in the process of getting my license taken care of and the DMV said that I can get my CDL permit while I'm there. I've been studying for almost two years, I've also gone to the dr. to get my medical squared away. I'm dotting my T's and crossing my I's. Also I have contacted the court to pay the ticket next week.

Drivers license suspended for unpaid ticket.

I have been a heavy equipment/ crane Operator both on land and offshore. I was injured over a year ago and cannot return offshore. I want to get my CDL but my license is suspended for unpaid traffic tick, general speeding about 3 years ago. I've already spoke to CR England and they sent me a CDL manual and told me to call them as soon as I get my license back. So my question is, are there any other training companies that would hire me without a valid drivers license for a full year because it wasn't taken for points or habitual offenses? Also I am a certified API inspector/ crane mechanic/ Operator. Familiar with details pre use inspections and used to spending countless ours in a cab by myself and used to being away from home for long periods of time. In addition to that I have a valid TWIC card. I've successfully carried the biggest responsibility of any trade in the gulf of Mexico with the most potential for harm. I've always been sent out by myself with no direct supervision. Do you guys think that I would have an advantage as far as roles and responsibilities?
