I'm thinking very seriously about walking in my Dad's footsteps and getting a job as a trucker, after three layoffs in IT.

Well it looks like I'll have plenty of time to grow my hair out.
I haven't had any access to diabetes medication since my last job laid me off. The A1C max for passing the DOT physical is 10, and I'm at 14 so I have to diet and exercise like crazy for the next month to get my numbers better.
:( I wish I could keep my cute haircut, though, I really love it.

Hey there, I am hoping to join Prime in the next month or so, but I got a super short pixie cut. My hair is really super fine, so it's perfect for children's wigs. I got it all chopped off and donated to a charity (not locks for love) that actually does deliver wigs for children. I felt pretty good about it... until I read that the drug tests are now a hair follicle test. They need the hair to be an inch and a half long, and my hair is half an inch at the longest. The sides are buzzed and the top is very, very, very short (which is a nice change from nearly waist length hair and it looks super cute, but... it's SHORT!).
No worries- they can take hair from elsewhere and just shave your chest (ummm, I don't have an inch and a half of chest hair), your legs (same), armpits (nope) or even your pubic hair (uhhh, possibly TMI but I don't have anything there, either, I go to a salon and get a wax every few months).
I just... don't have any hair that's an inch and a half long. And I don't want to get marked as refusing to take the test because that counts the same as a failure. I'm also afraid of asking my recruiter about this because I don't want him to think I'm trying to hide some sneaky drug habit. I really thought I was just going to pee in a cup and everything would be fine.
Should I just put off my entry date until my hair grows out more? Has anyone else been in a similar situation and have any advice for me?
I feel dumb that I didn't check this rule BEFORE I went and cut off my hair. I had between hip and knee length hair for years and I knew a lot of the wig charities were bad, so I was so careful before I donated my hair in checking the charities- but I didn't think to check if there were other consequences.

DANG it- hoping to join Prime in the next month, but I got a pixie cut- question about people who have done hair drug tests?
I would appreciate that. I will see if I can post a picture of my haircut but I am really loving it and after 10+ years of having waist to knee length hair, not having to worry about my hair at all (no special shampoo, detangling, silk pillow cases, special combs- it's not long enough to comb- no product?!?)- it's honestly been amazing.
If it's only the diabetes/ A1C I have to worry about instead of letting my hair get shaggy, that'd be awesome. I'm going to try to post the before/after. The after is NOT a great photo of me but it does show off the haircut. I'm still obsessed with it and just trimmed up the sides again today. The top picture, my thumbs are at my waist/where my hips start.
And it looks like the computer froze on the second picture! But the sides are shaved, and you can see how going from that to basically bald has been a radical and hella fun change!
