Prime CDL School, Tanker Endorsement?

Hi all,

I've been working on finding a sponsored school and I think I've settled on Prime as my number 1 choice. After talking with a recruiter about my permit testing, she said that I would need a Tanker Endorsement to attend the CDL program. I've been reading a lot on this forum and there is a unanimous consensus that rookies driving tankers is a very bad idea. I'm now concerned that Prime will try do exactly that and send me out with a tanker. I would just like to know if anyone has had a similar experience with their program or if that is common practice at companies with tanker divisions? Any advice or recommendations are greatly appreciated.
