Thank you Old School!

My entry is a recap of my time at Prime, in training for the CDL. Researched all the Mega's, had it whittled down, went with Prime due to the amount of positive reports across the Web. Had Roehl up there too, but really didn't want to learn on a manual, seeing how the industry is shifting away from them as is (no pun intended)....

Got to Springfield on 7/5, started Orientation 7/6. Was well prepared by the High Road program for my CLP, can't say enough about Brett and Co. putting that together! And then studied Daniel B's pre-trip. Watched Prime Inc Daniel's video's on YouTube to practice the pre-trip, sound on, then off, to simulate myself performing it. No Hippie Trucking's Prime Salt Lake City In-Cab was great as well. When you get here, the Instructors tell you not to watch any videos, but those helped me out big time. That being said, do any and everything the way your Instructors tell you to, like Dennis Hopper says in the movie ''SPEED": "DO NOT attempt to grow a brain!". Trust the process.

Accommodations were fine, one person per room (COVID), I found the food to be more than edible in the Campus Inn cafeteria. Everyone overall really friendly, approachable, spirit of succeeding is in the air. Fast friendships made, very similar to Military basic training. Many experienced Drivers would wish you well in passing.

The few days prior to being 'badged' go by fast, thought the Simulator was cool, if not altogether realistic. Anything to get the feet wet. Then off to the Training Pad, to get to the heart of it all.

My trainer's name is Mike, he was one of 2019's Top Trainers, found that out looking through Prime's YouTube channel, great guy, really laid it down and showed me and the other Trainee on his truck what we needed to do. After some mental fumbles, had me backing better than I had imagined I would, so quickly. Then out for some driving around the area, from Orientation to behind the wheel in no time. Not rushed, felt comfortable with the progression.

Began "PSD" training 7/10, tested out today, and Trifecta'd, joining Rob D, Mitchell and the many others! Now, awaiting my ''TNT'' trainer.

All in all, Prime Inc. is a 'prime time' organization, very happy with the decision to come here!
