Best company with CDL training to start with?

Don't knock Prime's 50k training. You aren't doing all 50k, it's dispatched miles and is shared with your trainer. I'm 5 weeks in, hitting my halfway point. I like the program. My trainer is right there as i learn how to handle in the mountains, through tight spots, backing, etc. He's more confident in my backing than I am. I'm actually dreading leaving him because I'm terrified of the alley dock. I can straight back perfectly lol. The time goes fast.

New trucker???

Guess this is my intro lol. As this virus took a hold of my state/county, they deemed us to be essential (beauty field) and to close. I decided I didn't want anyone to be in control of my earning potential and the I didn't like the fact that I had been placed in a position to make no income. I decided to get my CDL and drive. I worked hard to get my permit, talked with a couple companies and settled on Prime. I'm suppose to leave tomorrow to drive to MO for training Monday. Andddddddddd the 2nd guesses start. While I know this will help financially & set my family to be in a good space, I think I've figured a way to work this & my business. School got put on a back burner because my will to provide for my family took a big position up front. But I have to leave my kids, my newly 18 yr old and a 14 yr old, I'm a single parent...they claim they will be ok. It's getting real and I think I'm starting to panic for the unknown. Am I making the right decision. Was this decision really best or did I jump to this conclusion because my friends are truckers. Will I be ok waking in the middle of the night & having to run across the parking lot to the building because I have to pee really bad. On the other hand, I look at it as I have to make it through training & 9 months and then I can look for a local position and be set in a very well enough position to really do trucking & my business and reap all the benefits. That's not a long time in the grand scheme of things. At the end of the day, I know I'll leave here tomorrow and go to Missouri, but it still doesn't stop the doubts. What if I get to the hotel tomorrow & I miss my kids and I say F this and go back home.

Well...hello to all yall & nice to meet ya lol.

My new Adventure!

But omg sleeping in this bunk up top is HORRIBLE. I can’t wait to get my own truck 😊

What's so bad about it? I leave next weekend for training.
