Luke S.'s Bio

I recently started working as a trucker. I would like to know all the pros and cons of this work from experienced drivers.

Rookie Solo Adventure, thoughts, questions, vent, and ramble.

A quick update.

My elbow is still messed up.

I cleaned out my truck so Swift could put it back to work. I spoke with my DL and he’s going to put me on the Lowe’s account when I get back.

I’m eager to get back on the road for some longer hauls. Heavy was neat, but it’s hard to get consistent high miles.

Bellingham is pretty laid back and is still on lock down.

It took some doing, but I finally got a referral for physical therapy.

Take care,

G

Hi Spoonerist, you talk so interestingly about your travels. But what kind of music do you like and how do you create your playlist? Is it separate for each trip or do you listen to same songs several times?

Ride-a-long for a potential trucker??

Hello, my wife is also in a job search and she thinks about the option of cargo transportation. We are now actively looking for a job for her. If there is something interesting, I can write to you later.

Just got my cdl n I am a Medically Retired Army veteran.

You may want to look at Carter Express. They are based in Anderson, Indiana and do a lot of work in the midwest. They have a group of drivers who support the same client my company does in Hebron, KY and they seem happy. I also believe that they have a training program for CDL holders without experience.

I support you, this is a good company, my relative works there. I plan to go there myself to work.

Starting a trucking career at 63... and during this pandemic...

Hello everyone! It seems to me that it’s never too late to start doing what you dream about. Our age shouldn't be an obstacle to the dream and goals, because this is just a figure. The current situation with COVID is just the time at which you can start planning future affairs and gradually implement them.
