2 Years Since Getting CDL Trying to Get On with Prime

Ok all I had to do update my medical I'm all the way legal now. The first doctor only gave me a 6 month medical certification for a can of worms I'm not going to open and this doctor said that was BS and gave me a 2 year certificate. I guess it lapsed last year so I maybe it hadn't been downgraded for a full year yet. Thank goodness I got it taken care of it would have been a huge pain to start all over again. Just having the CDL probably makes me a lot more attractive to trucking companies even though I still need some training.

2 Years Since Getting CDL Trying to Get On with Prime

The woman at prime said she ran my application and I'm good to go they are sending an orientation packet! I told her I didn't think my CDL was good so I was going to call the DMV and find out for sure and she told me I was fine just get a DOT physical. I kind of think it will cause a problem eventually but for now I'm just going to go get my physical since I will need one either way. I can't believe she is getting me to get back in an 18 wheeler but hopefully it will help me stick with it this time.

2 Years Since Getting CDL Trying to Get On with Prime

I told her I'd try to get on with Prime so I guess all they can do is say no. I talked to some other company that said they did a six week training program. Yeah I'm sure I could have got back into it with another trainer if I had wanted to bad enough only getting back into it now because of my friend.

2 Years Since Getting CDL Trying to Get On with Prime

Hi I got my CDL about 2 years ago in Springfield, MO and drove for a couple of weeks with PAM. I started puking my guts out of the truck window with the trainer in Atlanta, got to the load and puked more in the bathroom, went to a truck stop to get medicine and was puking in the stall. Anyways I felt like crap and I don't have anything bad to say about the trainer, we got along but it was like we had trouble understanding each other, just didn't clique I guess. Well anyways I'll take most of the blame should have toughed it out or at least took a short break and got back on the horse sooner. Well my friend just graduated and got her CDL and is working for Prime which got me motivated to get back into it. Put in an online application with Prime earlier today. I haven't been keeping my physicals up but my Arkansas license is good till 2023. I'm hoping it didn't get cancelled and I have to take the CDL all over again. Hopefully I can just go get a physical and since my license still says class A i'll be good.
