Well Sarah, I'm not quite a female trucker yet, scheduled start training Oct. 13. I was planning on documenting like this anyway, assuming all goes well, and it might be fun to see what you've got so far and how different things are now. Not sure where I'm going to be, but I'll be driving for PAM.

Hi ladies,
I'm a female photojournalist and Granddaughter of the late Long Haul driver 'Calamity Jane' (see profile picture). Through the late 70s-90s I had the joyful experience of secretly riding with my grandmother, sharing certain legs of her trips in the southern corridor of the U.S.; hiding in the back of cab at weigh stations and such.
Today, I am working on a photojournalism project documenting the road and life surrounding today's lady trucking community. In many ways it is a measure to both honor my late grandmother and to see what has changed in the game of trucking for women. I would like to incorporate women driver road photography as well as a more collaborative effort, if possible-"how you see things".
If you are open to meeting with me and or allowing for short stretch ride-a-longs and discussions, please contact me at Sarah@SarahWarnock.com. I currently work in Texas, Mississippi and Louisiana but can also visit NY, NJ and CT.
Ladies only on drives. Thank you and keep it safe.
