I have been driving a day cab with a 45 fot van for 17 yrs. I would like to go ptr but was told I needed refresher training. Does anyone have an idea how I can get this.
Some truck driving schools offer shorter courses for drivers that already have experience.

If your current company isn't interested in OTR drivers, contact some Trucking Companies about their refresher. Shoot out an app with Apply For Truck Driving Jobs to contact lots of companies. They'll see by your application what you would need to do. It may not cost you anything, or not much.
OTR driving normally means you'll be hauling freight to various customers throughout your company's hauling region. It often entails being gone from home for two to three weeks at a time.
