We both got a new truck that we hate. I got a 2012 Peterbilt 587. This thing is awkward to back up lol. At least it's temporary, I'm going to drive it for a week and take it to a terminal then they'll fly me back to Cleveland to pick up my Freightliner.
And it was a recovery. Don't get me started on how dirty and filthy it was. The guy was a pig, and that's being nice. It smells like old soup, I found plastic bags with dog poop in them. The cabinets are overflowing so much of garbage that when I open the cabinet things start to fall out. The mattress was black on both sides, not even kidding. I threw it out and took one of my two mattresses from my Freightliner. I won't dare use his frig it smells diseased, and even though I'm hungry and I have some chili - I won't cook it in his microwave in fear I might catch something from it. I'm literally scared. I cleaned up and filled 3 giant bags worth of trash. I won't walk barefoot in here the floor is sticky.
I mean, this person seriously wasn't raised correctly or taught how to clean.
I can't wait to get my Freightliner back.
OMG! That's DISGUSTING! Should have put a disclaimer in the post im eating and almost threw up! At least your situation is temporary.
A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.

Ehk that's beyond awful!
Holy crap dude. Did you let your DM know? From what my dad has told me, that's not an uncommon thing either.
Yup...thats why companies who used to pay independent parties to do recovery of abandoned trucks, now use their own drivers. Cuz employees can only refuse a truck if its a safety issue. I personally think that recovery drivers should get hazard pay. AND free medical screening.....
