Can I expect to make more than $250 a week? That is what I currently average at my non-trucking job

Once out of training I would say most likely yes, unless you get hardly no miles. Some companies offer a minimum weekly pay. The company I'm going to once I get out of training and solo they have a minimum pay of 2100 miles @.38cpm.

CPM:

Cents Per Mile

Drivers are often paid by the mile and it's given in cents per mile, or cpm.

Pastor C., if you are making less than 400 a week in trucking I don't see any reason why they would even keep you around. Your pay will kind of be inconsistent, especially at the beginning until you get the hang of things, but there's not a reason in the world that a person with a strong work ethic and a willingness to "git 'er done" can't get out here and make a decent living. You should expect to make around thirty grand your first year - you should be taking home close to five hundred a week.

Remember this job is completely performance based pay - only the strong survive. You've got to get out there and make things happen. Trucking companies recognize these type folks, will keep them moving, and do just about anything to keep a person that understands this.

That is great! I know I have a great work ethic. I honestly did not want to ask this question because for me trucking is not about the money. I just want to drive and fulfil a dream.

I'm headed there within the hour actually, fortunately I'm able to drive myself there (3ish hour drive).
