I would keep looking, I had BOA and after a house fire in which I lost my house and my girlfriend they overdrafted my account and wouldn't work with me to fix it. It came to about 750 dollars, I found it hard to be able to open an account after that but was able to find a bank that doesn't even check. You could also have a parent open a joint account if you trust them....I would be weary of putting my check into my girlfriends account.

Oh hell, we've been together for several years.

My wife and I were together 18 years til we one day with no warning she decided she didn t want to be together anymore ,...she didn't hesitate to remove every single dime from our joint account and tried to close out my IRA as well...

I'm surprised it took her 18 years...you've only been here a week and I'm already tired of ya..

OMG ROADKILLshocked.pngrofl-3.gif Im dying! Sure Zach hasnt made many friends here yet BUT we are also not going to conform him to our program by being mean to him either. He seems pretty knowledgable in a tuff as nails sort of way. Most of the oversized haulers that I meet tend to be nice. He just doesnt realize how impressionable the folks on the blog are. Now play nivesmile.gif P.S. Brett you really need to add a kissy face Icon for me to use;)

Have you thought about getting one of those prepaid debit cards like greendot and or companies?? They give you a bank account number and form to give to your employer so payroll can deposit your checks and it works like a regular debit card with a visa/MasterCard logo, so you can use it to withdraw cash, or like a credit card.....

DOT:

State and Federal DOT Officers are responsible for commercial vehicle enforcement. "The truck police" you could call them.

HOS:

HOS refers to the logbook hours of service regulations.

...The rest of the story is, she was diagnosed with a terminal illness shortly before she left ,you guys are right ,I am/was tough as nails on somethings. When she first approached me with the notion of me quitting my job ,clean out our bank accounts and live like there was no tomorrow ,she neglected to tell me about her medical condition .I thought she was crazy as hell and told her so .We had a life together a mortgage ,a kid to raise, plans for the future ...buying an RV ,and taking off into the sunset with no further thoughts to our future plans was crazy .She took off and acted like a crazy person til she died 3 months later... ****ing away nearly $54,000 it took me ten years to save ,with nothing to show for it except for one hell of a party.I/we had no clue what was driving her til after the fact .

I left the road(OTR) then ,doing local work only so I could raise our (then 11)son alone .Taking him OTR during the summer months ,saving as much as I could to replenish his college fund .He statrs at WVU this spring ,when I'll be returning full time to what I do best .Sorry if I ruffled a few feathers.I do come across a bit gruff at times .

Terminal:

A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.

OTR:

Over The Road

OTR driving normally means you'll be hauling freight to various customers throughout your company's hauling region. It often entails being gone from home for two to three weeks at a time.

No; you nor anyone else has offended me on here. I am divorced and my ex left me with a massive debt that I cannot pay right now. I lost my job on the P.D. and I have been forced into delivering pizza's and part time furniture delivery. I owe a company money and they keep freezing my account trying to get money that I literally don't have. So this is the jist of it.

Thank you all for your advice and help.

You can also get a WalMart card, that works as an ATM card..It might be worth checking into....I know a few who use these..

Oh, and to reiterate. I am not a deadbeat, or lazy bum. I am actively seeking full-time employment. I do work 2 part time jobs. But money is extremely tight and I literally have to choose between what bills to pay and how to keep a roof over our heads with food for the minions (kids).

We saw Despicable Me 2 and they loved it. They remind me of the minions so I call them that now. They love it.

Just wanted to clarify that. Thanks y'all.

OOS:

When a violation by either a driver or company is confirmed, an out-of-service order removes either the driver or the vehicle from the roadway until the violation is corrected.
