i just had a question for the experienced drivers on this site. that is how do you stay in shape? i like to eat an extremely healthy high protein low fat diet i am a former infantry Marine and mixed martial arts fighter so i like to maintain my lean appearance at the very least. is this possible while driving a truck for a living? any tips would be appreciated.

I carry dumbbells in the truck. Depending on your tractor you can also put your feet on the bunk and do pushups with your hands on the seats. You are already doing a good diet... Just park as far from the truck stop building as you can. Stay safe!

My trainer had built a pull-up bar from pipe that "stood" in the sleeper area between the cabinets.

Daniel B has posted his bike ride experiences in Daniel B. Bike Rides. (His photo archive got messed up, so the pictures are not available.) He managed to carry his bike on the back of the cab.

Some truck stops have an exercise room, or a posted/mapped "walking trail" around the neighborhood.
