I wouldn't worry about the microwave and tv unless you know for sure they are putting you in a sleeper. 6 string can tell you better but I know most of the ltl companies I see on the road are driving daycabs. And with as limited as space is in a sleeper can I can't imagine putting it all in a daycab. I would invest in a plug in cooler and a lunchbox cooler that should hold you over pretty good without taking up much space. Wait until your out for a month or 2 before you worry about tv and stuff because in the beginning your gonna be too tired at the end of the day for all that anyway. I know it was rough for me to stay up long enough to get a shower and call my fiance for the first month.
Refers to carriers that make a lot of smaller pickups and deliveries for multiple customers as opposed to hauling one big load of freight for one customer. This type of hauling is normally done by companies with terminals scattered throughout the country where freight is sorted before being moved on to its destination.

I'll be in a sleeper...how much is the plug in cooler, lunch box cooler and where may i purchase it?
I got the plug in cooler from Wal-Mart for like 90 bucks. It has crappy reviews but it works good for me. The lunchbox cooker you can get from Amazon or just about any truck stop. I use Amazon to buy bulk packs of the cooking tins for inside it and I'll cook a bunch of meals at home and put them in the cooler. With you being home every week it should work out good for you. I forgot to give you my opinion on the GPS too lol I have a Garmin dezl 770 and it seems to work pretty good. If you want one for your phone instead of a standalone one I'd vote for copilot.
Does the one for the phone work just as good, and if so, will it help me to bypass low clearances, bridges, and no Truck zones?

The one for the phone is what I was going to get until I got mine for Christmas. It also comes pre-installed on the computer in my truck so I basically have 2 GPS which is nice in case one fails. From using it on the pc it works really good. It told me about a low bridge in Newark long before I got to it so I was able to avoid it, but like any GPS you have to pay attention to your signs. I actually ended up on a non truck road in st claire, mi because I missed the sign and both of GPS told me it was ok

I'm not sure what all I'll need to buy for life as an inexperienced LTL driver. I'll be out for 5 days and home for 2 on the weekends. Any suggestions would be appreciated and I'll also drop a list of what I'm about to buy, I'm figuring it'll be around $725 for all of this: Trucker GPS Trucker Microwave Trucker TV Accessories to connect these items
Do you guys think I'll need all of this, and if so, where would I purchase, and what would be the best TRUCKERS GPS to show low bridges and no Trucks allowed areas?
