I've got a buddy that went to nursing school in his late forties and had a heck of a time finding a job when he graduated. He finally broke down and took a job in one of the prisons out in AZ for about six months. He wanted to work in the ER and there was a job that opened up out in the middle of nowhere in northern AZ on an Indian reservation. They agreed to pay back all of his student loans if he agreed to work there for like three years and commute back home to his wife and kids in Phoenix every few weeks for a weekend. He finished the three years out there, they paid off all his loans and now he's got a sweet gig in the ER at a hospital around Phoenix somewhere, he really lucked out.
Ndi, First I need your definition of "RICH"
What do you enjoy that you are good at? That's what you should do. If you just chase the $ you'll never have enough.
If what you enjoy, and are good at, doesn't pay great, find a career that allows you to pay the bills while pursuing your passion.
Just my 50+ years of experience talking.
Good luck.
"Rich" is a matter of perspective.
Don't think anyone actually "gets rich", driving a truck.
Will you make a comfortable living? If $35-65K (average start 35, 65 after a few years) is enough for you to "live comfortably" - then that to you - might be rich.
"Rich", is generally judged by the amount of "stuff" you have. I drive a 2016 Honda Pilot Touring - my friends that take the bus, think I'm "rich".
There's more to life than MONEY - but you still have to keep a roof over your head, food on the table, etc.
BUT - if you find a profession you LOVE, and are having your financial NEEDS met (maybe not your wants, but your NEEDS) - than you are richer than those with a ton of $$, and a life of unhappiness.
Take it from me - make good $$ in my current profession - have lots of "cool stuff" - and I'm miserable and looking to dump all the "stuff" (that really has no value in the big scheme of things), and try something that I think will fulfill my SOUL (even it my wallet gets lighter).

I am 32 but have never had a concrete career.I am in to prerequisite now for nursing, because I think that with I make a decent money for myself.Yet onbthe other hand I don't like the field.I can't stand blood, vomits , in fact any human waste. Secondly for me to start making money in nursing,I need to study for at least 3 years at my age. So, I am thinking of trucking since it has the other of all the point above on nursing.I am very ambitious that is why I get really frustrated when I get to stay in one position for her.please some one should advise me how I can really get rich doing this trucking business
Thanks
