Sound's cool, keep us posted!
This week has been great so far. I thought I knew how to read a map, but learned so much on map reading. We were doing trip planning, which takes a lot of thinking. We learned how to fill out log books, which is easy once you do it a few times. We learned all about the green regulation book, and covered the csa book. Tomorrow, we get to play with the trucks and do a pretrip inspection. So far, I am having fun with all of it. I will post more later.
The CSA is a Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) initiative to improve large truck and bus safety and ultimately reduce crashes, injuries, and fatalities that are related to commercial motor vehicle

I started at Riverland community college today. We got to see all the trucks that we will be trained in. They have a couple trucks and a tanker. We will learn doubles and they have a city bus to learn. When we are done, we will have all the endorsements, including hazmat and passenger. We have about 20 people in the class, and 3 are female. I am going to have fun in this school.
HAZMAT:
Hazardous Materials
Explosive, flammable, poisonous or otherwise potentially dangerous cargo. Large amounts of especially hazardous cargo are required to be placarded under HAZMAT regulations
Doubles:
Refers to pulling two trailers at the same time, otherwise known as "pups" or "pup trailers" because they're only about 28 feet long. However there are some states that allow doubles that are each 48 feet in length.
