Since I am forced to do a reset because my dm wouldn't let me deliver on Saturday. I went inside to grab some subway. I got my receipt and there is some badge thing on there that says I need four more of them. What is that for?

Dm:

Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager

The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.

Yeah, I know what it is. It's a reward system. When you get all of them (five I think), you'll get either a free sandwich, $2 off or some other reward.

I just started getting them. Wasn't sure about it, so I asked. They said they do it from time to time. Just like Pilot/Flying J does different discounts.

If your company is paying for your fuel, utilize those points as much as you can. I know it sounds like a stupid thing to a lot of people, but there comes a point where you get sick of the truck food and want something different. That's what I like to use them for.

Also, I've purchased cinnamon rolls (prepackaged from Sam's club) and bring them along. Buying them at Sam's makes them $.50 each as opposed to $1.29 in the truck stop. Then I use the Philmor cup from Pilot/Flying J. After 9 you get a free cup of coffee. Again, I know it sounds stupid to some, but I try to watch my spending. I don't do coffee everyday. I also have chewy breakfast bars that I do most of the time with a bottle of water. Again, just like to change things up sometimes.

I hope this helps.

Oh I understand. I wanted subway. So I bought a foot long and are half. Now I have lunch tomorrow. I try to watch what I eat too. I don't want another heart attack. I buy fruit and such when I get to stop at Wal-Mart. I know if it's in the truck I will eat it. So if I just buy healthy stuff I will eat it. I just didn't know what the reward thing was. All I ever get is the Phil mor thing. And I save save save my points. I want to get some saved so I can make some of the more expensive purchases. Cb and what not.

Get the rewards cards for all the major truck stops, they add up if you don't spend them and work towards showers and anything else you might want or need. Also watch because different ones week run monthly specials, cheap gloves etc. I bought my last cb using rewards points.
