.....correction 1 oz. is a FULL shot glass
I think I will stick to my "old cure".
I might have to take a day off with mine, but I know it won't kill me.
This one, I am not sure, might be worse than the illness.
I am sure it would about kill me. The pepper would do me in without adding vinegar to the mix. And I won't even talk about the after effects.
Keep it safe out there. Joe S
Hey whats the harm in trying this and see if it will knock it out in a couple of hours rather than keeping you down for days. Old remedy like this just may work. And if not you can chalk it up as a man test (hehehehe). Well back to football and waiting to hear back from Prime about starting there on the 17th wish me luck guys.
So...can ya mix this up at home and put it in your fridge in the truck ?? whats the "shelf life" on this mix ?? I like natural cures...chemicals are more harmful than the disease.

Hi Starcar,
Not sure really. I have left it out at room temps for 48 hours with no issues once. The flu was toast on day 1 but my stubborn wife still made me drink the rest the next day because I still had a small cough the 2nd day. Still don't know if she really thought there was a chance I was still sick OR if she just liked hearing me cough out the heat after every shot!
With that being said, I think it very safe to assume 3-5 days in the fridge. After all salt and vinegar are both natural preservatives.
Take Care Sir

I realize at this point being nothing more than a "future prospect" to the industry in 8 years (or earlier due to other job related circumstances) but here is something you all can use to avoid down time or at least the misery of headaches, diarrhea, fever, and all the other fun symptoms of the flu. Some of you may scoff at this as some weird hippy idea. Call it what you want...IT WORKS! As people who have adopted an inclination to Natural Living, my wife and I have not been to a M.D. in 16 years and have been pretty healthy. One thing that has helped us when the flu bug got in the house was this recipe for "Fire Water" which we got from a natural healing book. The results were pleasantly devastating. Even friends, relatives, and co-workers who have given us some ribbing for how we live have tried it and ditched the flu in 3 hours, 4 hours, and one in 2.5 hours. Another friend used it to kill off strep throat in just over a day (no antibiotics). It costs less than $10 and some of the stuff you may already have around the home and can easily be stowed in your truck
WHAT YOU NEED:
-Vitamin C packets (i.e. Emergen-C)
-Apple Cider Vinegar (not white vinegar, must be APPLE CIDER vinegar) -Cayenne Pepper -Sea Salt (not the iodized junk..REAL sea salt)
THE RECIPE:
*1/2 cup boiling/hot water (to go cup from the truck stop restaurant) *1/2 cup Apple Cider Vinegar *1 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper *1 teaspoon Sea Salt
THE PROCEDURE
1) Mix all ingredients from THE RECIPE together in a large cup 2) While waiting for it to cool, take a Vitamin C packet with water
3) Drink 1 oz. (half a shot glass) of the "Fire Water" at 30 minute intervals until the flu is gone OR the potion is used up. 4) Take a Vitamin C packet every other dose of fire water.
Be sure you are not allergic to any of the ingredients. You will want to have a slice of bread or saltine crackers when you down the FIre Water. As you can imagine, the stuff is pretty dreadful to drink AND it should NOT make you vomit. FIrst time I used it, I was a full day into the flu and had bad nausea, and it did not make me vomit as it got rid of the flu in just over 4 hours.
Be well and be safe out there friends!
DAC:
Drive-A-Check Report
A truck drivers DAC report will contain detailed information about their job history of the last 10 years as a CDL driver (as required by the DOT).
It may also contain your criminal history, drug test results, DOT infractions and accident history. The program is strictly voluntary from a company standpoint, but most of the medium-to-large carriers will participate.
Most trucking companies use DAC reports as part of their hiring and background check process. It is extremely important that drivers verify that the information contained in it is correct, and have it fixed if it's not.
