Hey Michael. We have a list of trucking companies that hire drivers with felonies and a description of their policies so check that out.
I would also expect a long, tough job search being on parole. If you don't have any luck with the major companies check out Craigslist for smaller mom-n-pop companies that might be a little more lenient. Also look into logging companies, farms, and dumpster haulers like Waste Management.
Apply like mad everywhere you can and follow it up with phone calls. Keep pushing and make sure you get answers from everyone. It might take a few weeks or longer even to get your foot in the door. The more companies you contact the better your chances.
Check this out. On NPR today (4/22/16):
Employers often rule out applicants with felony convictions. Data show when the military made an exception and allowed people with felony convictions to enlist, they performed better than their peers.

I have a felony from back in 1984. I am still on parole for it but my PO is OK with me driving regional or local. I went to a private school to get my CDL. What companies near Houston Texas will hire ex-felons? I am trying to be a law abiding citizen but can't find anyone who will hire me.

Regional:
Regional Route
Usually refers to a driver hauling freight within one particular region of the country. You might be in the "Southeast Regional Division" or "Midwest Regional". Regional route drivers often get home on the weekends which is one of the main appeals for this type of route.
