The Weather Channel

map_specnewsdct-43_ltst_4namus_enus_650xmap_specnewsdct-47_ltst_4namus_enus_650x"An outbreak of severe storms, including the possibility of strong, long-track tornadoes, is expected Tuesday. The tornado conditions index, better known as TOR:CON, has been raised to 7 out of 10 in central and east Kansas, according to severe weather expert Dr. Greg Forbes of The Weather Channel. This means there is a 70 percent chance of a tornado within 50 miles of any location in the areas indicated. TOR:CON values are as high as 6 out of 10 in central and east Oklahoma."

Reed Timmer: Meteorologist and Extreme Storm Chaser

13082677_10154162811819169_2892343961989"New model guidance is showing a farther south surface low track and more backed surface winds east of the dry line across western/central OK into central KS. Here is the Significant Tornado Parameter (STP) for 7 pm Tuesday evening.

Looks like mid afternoon tornadic supercells possible near the warm front along I-70 corridor first likely near or west of Salina, then tornado threat increases farther south long the dry line in central/southern KS and central OK as low level jet stream ramps up. Stay weather aware OKC to Wichita to Salina and surrounding areas Tuesday afternoon/evening."

Well.... I drove through that crap today. Seriously thought a funnel was forming in front of me then I got pelted with golf ball size hail..... seriously.. they dented my truck HAIL. Last week it was locusts. I think moses' gps screwed up and he sent the 10 plagues to the midwest instead of egypt. Good thing I have no kids cause the angel of death will be coming for the first born soon.

Haha she's right. We get warnings so often that you start to not pay attention. Actually, there are sirens going off right now in Tulsa. It's a blanket warning so I'm waiting to see how close the storm gets to my neighborhood before going to the basement. I am watching the news though, and the weather crew is filming as they go down the expressway. And they passed a FedEx truck pulling double trailers that veered into their lane. I was surprised to see that! Why would he/she still be driving in 50 mph winds with a tornado warning?

I drove through a nasty outburst in OK. Hail and super gusty winds. I stopped as soon as possible!
