My class started with 7. Me and another fellow man it out alive. 9 months later we are finally crossing paths.

He's headed to FL out of UT and I'm headed to UT out of VA. We're both going to pass each other on I80 in Nebraska tomorrow. We have already made plans to drop one of our trailers (install a kingpin lock on it) and bobtail to a restaraunt that's not a truck stop and just chill for a few hours and catch up.

It's been a month and 1 week since I have seen a familiar face. Tomorrows going to be a good day!

Bobtail:

"Bobtailing" means you are driving a tractor without a trailer attached.

That Daniel is just what StarCar was talking about. You're doing it dude! Just like we did so many years ago. Man what a blessing. Have a great meal and an even better "convo".

Tell your friend we all said hello and wish him the best too.

Let us know how he is doing.

Hands Palm To Palm.

He's an o/o with Central Ref. So I paid out of sympathy. Haha

He's been on the road since mid-July. His truck broke down for a week so he tells me he's behind. And a few days ago his Qualcomm broke on him and he spent two days at the shop to get it fixed. So he's pretty behind on his bills so he tells me he's going to go home in a month when he catches up on all his losses. So he has to stay out for three months.

Poor guy. I warned him so many times.

Qualcomm:

Omnitracs (a.k.a. Qualcomm) is a satellite-based messaging system with built-in GPS capabilities built by Qualcomm. It has a small computer screen and keyboard and is tied into the truck’s computer. It allows trucking companies to track where the driver is at, monitor the truck, and send and receive messages with the driver – similar to email.

WEll...there it is in black and white......O/O is not an option unless you can pay cahs for the truck/trailer, and have $50k in the bank, so you can feed your family until you loose your truck....Ain't a pretty site.

OOS:

When a violation by either a driver or company is confirmed, an out-of-service order removes either the driver or the vehicle from the roadway until the violation is corrected.
