Bobby, the best way to get started at any trucking company is to go in there and do what needs to be done and show them that you are going to be a top performer. I used to run all across the country for Western Express - they knew they could count on me and they did. Personally I would go in there, take whatever truck they give me and then do a "killer" job. Any time you are just getting started at a trucking company they need to learn who you are and what kind of work ethic you have got - talk is cheap - They want to see you putting up some consistently good solid dependable numbers. First time you walk in the door is not the time to be demanding what kind of truck you want, nor to be getting on to them for not keeping their word. My advice is simple: Lay low, and "git er done!"

I always drove Freightliner Cascadias when I was there, but they also had Volvos and Internationals in their fleet. If you don't get what you want at first just take it and drive it like a true professional. Those guys who come in there making demands from the get go usually prove to be not worth the trouble they cause, and you sure don't want to be on that list of drivers.

Thanks Old School, sorry to sound like someone demanding too much sir, I will keep my mouth shut and just do my job like my dad always said too. I'll do my best and just lay low and bust my butt.
