So, this recruiter from H.O. Holdings Inc. came by our school today. Sounded like the greatest

company ever invented. As we all know & have heard if it sounds to good to be true...

So, I'll just ask if anyone has knowledge of them ? While I surf around looking for more info.

about them.

Spank you all kindly for any info,

Bug

Recruiters will always make the company sound like the greatest. But I have no experience with them nor do I know anyone who works there.

You're in school. You have the choice of picking what company to go to. Don't pick a company just because the recruiter had the free time to go to a classroom and preach about his company. I am in no way telling you to not go to that company and I'm not saying they're bad. But explore ALL your options.

By school, I'm assuming you mean a private school since recruiters don't show up at company sponsored schools. This is the beauty about private schools and the best perk. You come in and get your CDL and you pick which company is right for you and which one you want to go one. So look into H.O. Holdings, but also look into the other 20 companies that would gladly hire you. Remember, this is your decision don't let anyone else take that from you.

I realize I went a little off your question. But I guess I'm just making sure you know that you do have options.

CDL:

Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:

  • Any combination of vehicles with a gross combined weight rating (GCWR) of 26,001 or more pounds, providing the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of the vehicle being towed is in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any single vehicle with a GVWR of 26,001 or more pounds, or any such vehicle towing another not in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any vehicle, regardless of size, designed to transport 16 or more persons, including the driver.
  • Any vehicle required by federal regulations to be placarded while transporting hazardous materials.

Yup lol. They seem to be a good company to start with. I like the fact that they hire out of S.C. All you can do is call them and talk with a recruiter. Get as much info as you can to make the most informative decision you can.
