I've heard all kinds of advertising on the CB radio, even those loose girls that hang around the truck stops wanting to know if "you want some company?" Pull in to a truck stop and announce yourself every hour on channel 19. You'll get a little business, and probably some rude comments, but it won't matter because you can just move on whenever you're ready.
When a violation by either a driver or company is confirmed, an out-of-service order removes either the driver or the vehicle from the roadway until the violation is corrected.
I'm not sure how to drum up business from truckers other than what Old School said. Just hop on the CB. I know there are a lot of job boards available now for RV'ers to post their skills hoping to find work on the road.

I believe they are called "Commercial Company" or "Proffesional Company"

So I have been an IT professional for the last 20 years. I used to work for a major trucking company in their IT department. I would sometimes help the drivers with their computers and charge an affordable rate.
I am going to take six months off and drive across the country in an RV. I was hoping to supplement my income on the road by offering computer services to drivers. I know most truck stops do not allow soliciting on the premises.
If this is a service that you think would be beneficial, do any drivers have any ideas on how I can advertise my services?
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks!
