... My wife is about 60% on board but she will get better.
Yeah... being just 60% divorced... that will work.
First figure out what is important to you. Homesite, payseeing the country... for me it is home time then pay. I work for a construction company that keeps me on the road for months at a time. So anything from 21 days out and shorter is great for me. 2nd is pay, I still have to keep the lights on.
From my research most of the entry level companies have about the same benefits.
More queations: Where do you want/not want to run. Some companies run primarily in the NE, some stay out west, while others run only Midwest.
Look at your history and see if there is anything there. I have 2 dwi's that are over 10 years old but when talking to a recruiter for a company I was really interested in they said no because of the multiple convictions.
As you read the various forum posts you will discover other things important to you to ask. Even as you start talking to recruiters you will start to formulate your own question base.

Well today I took the plunge. Starting TDI in Sanford on Tuesday . So it looks like I will be bugging everyone on here for a while to come. I am so excited. My second career and I welcome the opportunities it will bring me. Thank you to everyone that has answered all my crazy questions. They aren't quit done as I haven't picked who I want to work for. I did a few weeks ago go to a flatbed company in Jacksonville and wasn't very impressed. Dirty and they kept me waiting over an hour so I left. I hope I have better luck with future recruiters. Can anyone give me a heads on what to expect from the companies that I will speak with. More important then that should I ask any specific questions. My wife is about 60% on board but she will get better.
