Do you carry yours in your wallet? I was wondering because that's what I was planning to do when I paid extra for the card, but I don't because it looks like it's too fragile.
Yep. Inside zippered pocket, along with TWIC , SS card & Concealed Permit (LOL).
It's not all that fragile, no more fragile than a TWIC or DL.
Rick
Yeah, but my TWIC came with a hard plastic case on a lanyard, and they recommended that you leave it in there and not carry it in your wallet. I tried putting the passport card in there too but it just got them both jammed in there.
Truck drivers who regularly pick up from or deliver to the shipping ports will often be required to carry a TWIC card.
Your TWIC is a tamper-resistant biometric card which acts as both your identification in secure areas, as well as an indicator of you having passed the necessary security clearance. TWIC cards are valid for five years. The issuance of TWIC cards is overseen by the Transportation Security Administration and the Department of Homeland Security.
Plan to get both, the book and card, as I'm planning a little 2-3 month vacation to the Philippines, in October, is the plan........... Sucks I need to send Calif $25 for a "new" fancy certified Birth Certificate, since my mom didn't pay the 1 whole Dollar for it in 1959............... Yet the US Navy accepted the original I have in 1977, go figure! lol.......Don't even live in Calif and they get more $$ out of my pocket!

Hmmm... LOL Ok...didn't realize that there was an actual card form of a US passport. I was thinking of the card they give you to write the number and expiration date on. So sorry! Now that I've looked at the real thing, I may get one so I don't have to carry the book with me on the road.
