Transam does not do any sort of physical, just a drug screen. All they require is that you have a valid DOT physical card, social security card and CDL.
Hope this helps!
A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:
A department of the federal executive branch responsible for the national highways and for railroad and airline safety. It also manages Amtrak, the national railroad system, and the Coast Guard.
State and Federal DOT Officers are responsible for commercial vehicle enforcement. "The truck police" you could call them.

They don't offer any kind of school. You must have your CDL before going to orientation.
I went through a private school in MO to get my CDL.

Hey CM, I'm not anticipating any problems, but, just in case, I know you told us before about Trans Am's procedures, but what can you tell me about any sleep apnia testing they require? The reason I ask is that it could set my training start back enough to be a problem financially if I have to do it (I am a big guy and might fall into their range for it). I can get it for free through the VA (well, not free, but it would just go on my account). If I remember right, you said that for their school, you have to already have your DOT card and your Permit. I now have both of those as of today and would like to maybe have a back-up plan should anything here go wrong. Anything you can tell me would help.
Thanks,
