My opinion is that you'll be okay with another company. Explain how much time you had to back. Don't give up at all man. There's many companies that would give you a chance.
should I just give up on trucking?
Oh h*ll no! Start making phone calls and filling out applications. Get back out there. I would suggest your best bet would be to get on with one of the Paid CDL Training Programs where they can give you whatever extra help you might need with backing.
Everyone struggles mightily early on in their career. This is a tough job to learn and a tough business to be in. Just keep at it, keep moving forward, and don't give up. You'll get there.

Need a little advise got my CDL in March with a private school after school I decided to go with Roehl. Did orientation and went with a trainer for 9 days of those 9 days I drove 6 of them maybe 4-5 hours a day came back went to test out could not pass my backing test a 45 degree close quarters back. So they sent me back out with another trainer for 9 more days drove 8 of those days 7-8 a day only backed 4-5 times got back and still couldn't pass backing test So Sat at home for two days and then roehl called and fired Mr for not being able to pass the backing test Will I have trouble finding another company to hire me should I just give up on trucking?
