I easily passed the CDL test here in California using the High Road Training Program. The questions may be slightly different but overall you just need to read them carefully before answering.

95% of all of the state CDL manuals are virtually identical. Some of them have a few differences here and there. Texas has one section which is only 15 pages long, 3/4 of which just talks about the required light placement on a vehicle. So if you're from Texas, read through that section. It's section 14 in the Texas manual.
But the High Road works great for all 48 states. Read over your state's manual to make sure you don't spot any obvious differences. Otherwise, all of the state manuals are produced from the same Federal manual.
