CR England is a good place to get your training. The only complaint we would have is that their pay, especially in the beginning, is on the lower end of the pay scale. Otherwise they're a great place to get started.

If your background is pretty solid you can probably find a better pay package with one of the other Paid CDL Training Programs. But if you've tried other carriers and CR England is the only one ready to give you a shot then go for it. The key is to get your career off to a great start and CR England is certainly a good place to do it.

CDL:

Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:

  • Any combination of vehicles with a gross combined weight rating (GCWR) of 26,001 or more pounds, providing the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of the vehicle being towed is in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any single vehicle with a GVWR of 26,001 or more pounds, or any such vehicle towing another not in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any vehicle, regardless of size, designed to transport 16 or more persons, including the driver.
  • Any vehicle required by federal regulations to be placarded while transporting hazardous materials.
