Looks like these two busy months have killed my truck. Haha!

I'm at our Fontana terminal. I waited 36 hours for my truck to finally get in the shop. And today the shop manager gave me bad news. It's got to go to the frightliner dealership for 2-3 days.

I got my load to go home today and the repairs weren't going to take too long so I was planning on being home tonight. I haven't been home in 7 weeks now and I'm READY to go home haha. My birthday is on the 6th looks like I probably won't be home.

Welcome to trucking :)

Good news though. I talked to a driver just about to get his first truck and he was going to lease after a month. I convinced him not to and he said I made some good points and he decided he will put it on hold. So I just saved a person from financial diaster! Yaya!!

Terminal:

A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.

Hey, what a blessing, eh? Your truck breaks down and you find the opportunity to save someone's bank account. Jesus would have done the same thing.

You lived like a prophet today! smile.gif

Haha!

Yeah nothing else to do. I'm sitting at the lounge and everyone's a new driver so constantly chatting with them and answering their questions.

It will be a massive relief for a lot of those guys to get the chance to talk to you. You know how it is - people come in with all kinds of fears and misperceptions. If you can help clear em up and get their minds and expectations in the right place it will make a world of difference to em.

HOS:

Hours Of Service

HOS refers to the logbook hours of service regulations.
