The legal age for interstate trucking is 21 years old. Some companies have a higher age requirement but there are still plenty of companies that will hire you at 21.
Being in Canada might be more of a problem than your age. Unless you are willing to move to the States and get a US CDL , you may have difficulties getting onboard with a US company.
I don't know what you are planning to do, but if you are going to stay in Canada, look at the major Canadian companies that cross into the US. I'm sure there will be several with training programs available.
Good luck!
A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:
Commercial trade, business, movement of goods or money, or transportation from one state to another, regulated by the Federal Department Of Transportation (DOT).
You should have no problems finding work at 21. Your options will be somewhat limited but there are indeed still plenty out there.

I'm currently 20 years old located in Canada. I've always been really interested in trucking but I've always read that it's very difficult when a new driver under the age of 23 with no experience attempts to find a job. I will have my full drivers license in a month which will make me eligible to train for my AZ license (CDL). If i do decide to sign up for a school, I will be 21 after i receive my ticket.
I know some company's will hire at the age of 21 but do I have a decent shot or should i hold of until I'm around 23? I understand it has a lot to do with liability and insurance. Any help would be appreciated. I've been reading a lot on this site the last couple months. Thanks
