I previously made a post here talking about how I was worried if Prime was gonna send me out. So far it looks as such, recruiter called me the next day and literally said "Good news, you're in!", and proceeded to ask me a few more questions. I'm wondering will everything me and him went over correlate with what I need to expect at Prime?
Will I still need all my work history and stuff? As I told the recruiter, from 2012 to 2016 I was a student in college, and at the top of 2016 I've been working at UPS as well. I gave him my transcripts, and my first and last paychecks(haven't been there long enough to receive any W2). He said it sufficed, and I'm wondering will it suffice at the face to face interview. Another thing, he asked had I done any illegal drugs in the past two years. Honestly I wish I had of lied, but I told him last year in August I did do Marijuana(being a college student and being really lost asf I did, I mean...it is what it is sadly.). That being said, I think because of that he made me do a HIPPA form, and said that it was noted that I said that. Will this come up again at the interview, and will it possibly hold me back, even if I break it down that look, I was in college, I had no direction, and it was thing I participated in??
Other than that, at the end of the call he told me he'd be in touch with me weekly until the week I leave (Sep 17th, Saturday). And he'd send my greyhound ticket that week. So right now, I'm good, just excited to even have the opportunity to get out to Missouri and make this happen. I'm just hoping that they wouldn't send me out just to hold me back over any little technicality. As far as my background...I've never had any run in with the police(besides the occasional road block etc etc just passing em by), been locked up, cuffed, ticketed none of that. as far as I know, i'm clean as a whistle unless someone else using my name lmao. So I'm definitely not worried as far as that goes. Just making sure that my ducks are in a row for when I get there though.
Everything you discussed will be discussed again... and again, and again. I think they do it to catch people on lies which are harder to remember than the truth. you will fill out a ton of papers and YES take everything with you. My recruiter made me give him the pay stubs, w2 and everything all over again once I got there. Be sure to have your SEALED birth certificate, social security card, and a voided check for direct deposit.
This link will give you lots of info of what to expect My Prime PSD experience
Prime Inc has a CDL training program and the first phase is referred to as PSD. You'll get your permit and then 10,000 miles of on the road instruction.
Prime’s PSD begins with you obtaining your CDL permit. Then you’ll go on the road with a certified CDL instructor for no less than 75 hours of one-on-one behind the wheel training. After training, you’ll return to Prime’s corporate headquarters in Springfield, Missouri, for final CDL state testing and your CDL license.
