Road Trip West Coast To East Coast

Hi, am sure most of you would be able to help me on this.

Am thinking of driving from Long Beach CA to NJ. Which in your opinion are the best and shortest routes? I have slightly over 48 hours from start to finish non-stop with a friend of mine.

Your time limit of 48 hours puts your trip into that category.

There's no secret passageway between Long Beach and NJ. What you need to do is look at the big cities you're passing through, like St Louis. Try to plan your trip so you're NOT passing through these metropolises during morning or evening rush hour. Better, try to be there at 3am.

F'rinstance I pass through Atlanta, GA often. If it's rush hour that one town eats 2 hours.
