I think this is, to some extent, something you learn over time. When I first started, I felt like I was always in a rush. Couldn't get anything done as quickly as I wanted to. Now that I've been out here for several months, I'm starting to get the hang of it. I'm more efficient and more relaxed. But I still have a lot of improvement to make.

I've noticed in my life that I've always felt, internally, that I am rushing all the time. Even though I don't actually always get in a hurry externally, it feels like my body is always in "hurry up" mode. Hard to explain. It's like, when I am driving, I'm always feeling like im in a rush, as if I can will the truck to go faster.
Silly, I know, but I am learning, and trying to put into practice that life is not about the speed at which you do things, but about enjoying the journey. In trucking, you have to be as efficient as possible, but don't let that drag you into the feeling of always needing to be faster and faster.
When you are behind the wheel, learn to relax. Always be vigilant, for sure, but take the time to let your body mellow a little. Enjoy the countryside, and the experiences you will come across. They may not always be pleasant, but they will certainly be, something you can learn from.
Remember, you are in one of the most important careers in the country. Without you, the country stops, people don't have the goods they need, and the economy crumbles. Remember that as you are going down the road. You are important, and our nation depends on you to remain functional.
Slow your body down, enjoy the ride and keep a sense of pride in knowing that you move the nation and the economy, it's not just a "job"
