The East Coast is.. Huge. So where are you talking about specifically?

As both a solo female driver and as part of a team, i have never felt unsafe. And yes ive run on the east coast.. Delaware, Jerseu, Maryland, virginia, north and south carolina, georgia, and florida. Ive never driven a bjg truck in New England, but have traveled the US extensively and never felt unsafe in any of the northeastern states.

So i ask.. Exactly where ade you referring to? Cincinatti can get "rough" lol

Cincinnati I chased crack addicts from my truck. There and Birmingham are the worst IMO. And I'm from NJ so whats that saying???? Lol

Be smart. Park under lights....walk with flashlights. Be aware of your surroundings... Don't talk to strangers in dark places or by things with cash .. They could rob you

I told dispatch I refused to fuel in Birmingham at midnight so I went to a safe loves in Jasper Al.

I meant Pilot. Saw a guy pull a knife on another. Some beggar woman grabbed my arm for money. And that was the day!! Screw that

I second Cincii and B'ham as being hortible.. Both in a big rig or a 4 wheeler lol. East Coast? People are generally pretty nice and Ive never been to a truck stop, shipper or receiver where I felt unsafe.

Heck, ive spent the night in Ferguson, MO many times with no problems at all. East St. Louis doesnt scare me either but the Cinci crack heads are something else.. Ive even encountered those in my car while taking my kids to the zoo several years back. Detroit doesnt bother me either but there are some areas near where we load at that id lock my doors driving through and drive in a different way if its late at night.

Shipper:

The customer who is shipping the freight. This is where the driver will pick up a load and then deliver it to the receiver or consignee.

HOS:

Hours Of Service

HOS refers to the logbook hours of service regulations.

Everyone says Memphis is bad but I haven't felt unsafe. I just carry a flashlight and sometimes a hammer. I could either hitnsomwone with it or throw it through a truck window which would get attention. For the most part I park in the day and do my PTI eat and get shower. When I start up at night I pull into the fuel aisle to PTI. I have a port a potty on the truck so I don't really need to leave the truck.
