This thread just reminded me of the George Carlin bit about the 7 words you can't say on TV. It must be at least 40 years ago. I haven't thought about that in YEARS!

Wow...that's taking me back! I'm almost ashamed to admit I can still recite all seven...even though the last one sounds more like a snack!!

The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.
