Today I was in a tight dock. Not enough pull up space, a trailer on my left and stair on my right.

I assessed the situation took it slow and GOALd. I had to open the doors on an angle cause pulling forward wouldn't give me room.

I got out and three guys are staring at me in a group. They had a $100 bet I couldn't open the doors at that point. I did it....and the winner gave me $25.

Hahah...this Jersey Girl is getting good lol

Thanks for those posts. Keep them coming.

Glad the BP helped! You owe me coffee or something. What happened to the other $75?

I only drive a fixed route shuttle now, so I see nothing new. Nothing! But if anyone sends me a map coordinate and/or satellite screen-shot photos, I can set up a new Backing Practice. I'd like to continue the series.

Send anything to tt.errolv@spamgourmet.com

Hey Errol...either I'm not seeing it or too lazy to find it...what is this "backing practice" about which I am hearing such great reviews? Since I'm going to be heading back to the yard sometime within the next two weeks to finalize my CDL , I'm wide open and eager to devour any educational materials/advice I can possibly obtain! Thanking you in advance!

Oh, and where'd you get the cool emoticons? 😁

@Robby, rustle up your typing finger enough to enter Backing Practice™ into the search bar (don't forget the TM, it makes the search easier). They have numbers attached (Backing Practice™ 12) so you can keep them apart.

These are common and/or interesting real-life backing situations you might get into. Everybody can put in their 2¢, and I put in my answer.

If you get some interesting backing situation, use Google Maps to get the GPS coordinates, maybe a map screen shot, and your idea on how to get your trailer into that spot. Shoot the information to TT.errolv@spamgourmet.com

thicon_rolleyes.gif Internet, my friend, Internet. Copy the internet address for the image only, then replace the address of an approved TT smiley with the outside address.
