FYI if you're traveling in Colorado today:

Sustained winds of 35+ mph, wind gusts up to 65 mph. I had to shut down after I almost tipped around mm 153...with 30,000 lbs in the back.

Be safe

Just drove through Palm Springs about 45 minutes ago. They had those Damn FANS turned on again. Big time wind and dust!

Yup, didn't get to make it home for a 10 dangit. Stuck in pueblo 25 is shut down to cmvs from mm 0 - 91. The wind in Wyoming followed me. It won't let me run away haha.

Us 395 is shut down for high profile vehicles from lone pine to San Bernardino /kern county line. Just sitting here with all the other trucks. Be safe.

Newbie question. Are there company policies about driving in wind and as to when you should shut down or not shut down or is it driver's decision?

Shut down when you don't feel safe. I have found that I can deal with the 30 mph winds if I slow down, but if there is gusts there is really no way to be out there. I'm not going to put myself in danger for some cardboard haha. It's better to be late with freight than pitched in a ditch.
