I have just been hit by another truck while I was parked in a truck stop. Again. This the second time this has happened since July. It was before the snow started. The guy never g.o.a.l.ed and was backing in way too fast.

Aww man!

I don't know where you were when that happened but that kind of stuff happens quite a bit more in the winter, especially up north, because people don't want to G.O.A.L. in the bad weather. And of course there are far fewer hours of daylight so people are backing at night far more often.

You don't need a "deer guard" on your truck, you need to put up a cattle fence around you after you park that thing!

Annoying yes....but...you weren't hurt and the best part....it wasn't your fault. Anytime something isn't my fault I am happy. Lol

Thing was, the snow started falling when we were outside dealing with it after it happened. The guy was just nearing his one year mark solo. My guess is he felt he had been doing well and got ****y and thought he didn't need to get out and look or take it slow.

And yeah, Rainy, I am thankful that I didn't get hurt. I just really can't afford the downtime right now

Yup..............That is the problem right there. There should really be a provision with Insurance Companies/ Trucking Companies that provide compensation in these instances. NOT a whopping $50.00 per 24 hour "Layover" pay! (What a complete joke by the way). I feel for ya' Miracle

Yeah I was just on the phone with some people at my company, the downtime will be taken into account with the insurance company as well.

I'm gonna start putting up spike strips around my space and the surrounding spaces from now on.

I haven't gotten around to putting a castle guard on this thing yet but it wouldn't have helped anyway with the angle this guy hit me at

Although I am anal when it comes to GOALing, it just cannot fix bad driving and hurried/careless backing.
