The first thing I bought was a real mattress. Top of the line 17in plush baby. Unlike the three inch thick, rock hard mat that you sink into.

I also have an external.wireless hard drive with tons of movies, TV and music so when my internet drops I still have entertainment.

I bought extra phone batteries that charge so I always have at least two fully charged battery.

And of course my Blue Tiger. I had a blue parrot. But I couldn't listen to Pandora or media on it...just phone calls. BT let's me listen to music and movies

So the Tiger ate the Parrot? I'm calling PETA right now

Although, I still punch the clock, I have a Blue Parrot which I won't part with. For music and movies (not while driving), I have blue tooth ear buds by AYL, that I got for about $30 from Amazon. I love them and it's stereo.

Im happy to see so many replies! Finding a new mattress or topper will probably be my first order of business, and something I hadnt even thought about.

An electric grill, and electric kettle are on my list as well. Theres a lot you can cook with a good electric grill, and the kettle can be used to make food and drinks.

I've got a tablet and 15gb of books,(fiction and nonfiction)

a laptop (for skyping the wife, watching netflix, and using onedrive to manage all my documents, photos, videos etc...)

and an MP3 player uninterrupted music without ads or internet.

My cooler and cell phone...those i could not live without. I have a tv and an adaptor so i can broadcast my phone onto my tv....recently i decided to bite the bullet and get the satellite setup prime was offering, though i tends to use it less than i had originally thought.

I also have one of those small lunchbox ovens you can put the tin in that i cook soup and leftovers in. I've thought about a small coffee pot but I'm a bit lazy I'll just take my thermos in and fill it when i hit the head before starting my day.

My bro is a techno geek. He set it up for me. There is an app called Plex that sets up a menu system sorta like Netflix. He also has his computer online so I can use the same app from my laptop phone or tablet and it dials into his system. Have a much bigger selection that way..... But the hard drive is great.

He said the problem is the formatting. It doesn't like .avi and I thing he said he had to convert the stuff to mp4.

Its a WD My Passport Wireless Pro. If you want to look it up.

Joshua, I'm a snob. I needed something plush and high end hotel feel. The Sapp Bros truck stops have really nice ones for like $250. Mine was $550 from a mattress store that let me put it on layaway for a couple months. TA also sell toppers for a couple hundred. But to me, it was the most important investment I could make. If you can't sleep well you can't drive well and safely.

And CWC....that was hysterical ahhahah

I also have an mp3 player that plugs into my stereo,, an audio wire that plugs my phone into the stereo and a Bluetooth speaker that bounces off my phone or tablet for movies.

That is a Braven and practically indestructible. My bro bought that for me cause I'm a klutz. There's a YouTube video where someone hits it with a hammer then throws it out a three story window. He picks it up from the ground and it still plays lol. I busted out laughing when I saw it...but was a little upset my bro went to such lengths to find something I couldn't break hahah

I googled that brand of speakers Rainy and they look pretty spiffy, I might have to get some of those for my outdoor work on the homestead.

As for other nigh-indestructible electronics and a 'less than graceful' wife, I bought a silicon power Rugged Armor external hard drive for her. military grade, shock proof, water proof, and not too pricey at all. Once I get on the road I should probably get myself a wireless external HDD as well, thanks Rainy!

No problem. Its great cause some of the TA and Petro jam my phone so no internet. They want me to pay to get theirs. Yuck!!! So no matter what I always have the stuff I like to watch.
