I have a delivery, then a pick up, early afternoon on Sunday in West Jefferson.

I go through there often whenever I am in OH10. Not too much off the Interstate , excepting US-30 and 35 as a cut through over to Charleston, W.VA.

Pretty much off i270? Which way you headed afterwards? You KNOW we have truck parking! Let me know.

I can see what plans, if any, WE have, and maybe eke out a road trip on 'my' end, perhaps ~!!

Interstate:

Commercial trade, business, movement of goods or money, or transportation from one state to another, regulated by the Federal Department Of Transportation (DOT).

Delivery is at the Target DC.

Then, over to Mars Petcare/DHL for the next pickup. That one goes to a Walmart DC in Petersburg, VA.

I'll have to keep moving because I'm trying to get home as early as I am able on Tuesday. I'll have an approximate timeline in 24 hours.

Monitoring a CB provides one with more information. Simple as that.

I will keep a 'lookout' for your timeline; maybe we can figure something out!!! I get ya, on the 'hustle for hometime,' though...I really do. I remember the good ole' days I'd be helping route my man home, pronto~!! How long are you off for???

Back to CB searching...Maybe I'll just get him a gift card for one; I need help! There are SO many variations to the 'Cobra 29' it's not funny! Bluetooth, non, dashcam, not, omigosh. Research time, haha!

Am open to any pointers and links. Yes, we have Amazon Prime, LoL!!

Let's see....I've been out for 65 days? Home Tuesday then back out Saturday afternoon. Four days seems about right. Stuff onto the truck and a few things off. Switch decorations from Halloween over to Christmas decor. Shopping list, cooking, laundry, chrome wheel covers going on, etc.

Maybe get half of the list accomplished?

I have a Cobra 25 and a Cobra 29 LT Chrome.

Hey Anne, just the base Cobra 29 Ltd is all you need. I think I got mine for 90 dollars at a TA. Spent an extra 30 to get it peaked and tuned and it was gold. Can’t remember how many watts I had out of it. I’ve heard various issues with the other cobra models. I’ve since bought a galaxy 66 but I can thank trump and that covid stimulus check for that haha. O and antenna I’d recommend the Wilson. I run a predator 10k but it’s a bit expensive.

I personally choose to use a CB for a couple of reasons but I do understand why people turn them off. I turn mine off anytime I get near Memphis for instance.

Things like the original post, are the number one reason for me but a close second is being able to get off somewhere before getting stuck in traffic

Then there’s a third reason that I didn’t think too much about when I first started using a CB in the truck, and that was being able to communicate while moving when you see something wrong with another truck or someone seeing something wrong with your truck.

This week I’ve pulled next to three different trucks for three different reasons and none of them had CB’s

One of them was their fuel caps was off

The other two were blown tires on their right side of their trailers.

So if another driver pulls up next to me and shows me a CB Mike I would at least know to turn it on if I were them.

It is also paid for itself in the amount of time I’ve saved over the years not getting stuck in traffic.

OOS:

When a violation by either a driver or company is confirmed, an out-of-service order removes either the driver or the vehicle from the roadway until the violation is corrected.

Thanks, Banks. About 119 on Amazon.. probably going to go that route, then. Did you build a box like Stevo Reno spoke about, being a daycabber also?

Tom could get it 'peaked & tuned' if/when needed, correct?!?!?

Grateful, guys...thanks!
