Truck Tracker Position Updating In Forum Now

Ok folks...several people had mentioned being able to update their position in the Truck Tracker App automatically so I've built that into the forum. Now, anytime you're logged in and you load a page in the forum it will attempt to retrieve your GPS location in the background and update it. So if you start getting popup messages asking you if it's ok for TruckingTruth to use your location, that's why.

Now you may see this popup a few times a few times but it should stop. The phones and tablets are designed to ask you if it's ok for a website to use your location. Once you give the approval for a domain it's supposed to stop asking. But if any of you are getting constant popups asking if we can use your location let me know.

Actually, if any of you are having any issues with the forum or tracker app let me know.

I just checked to see if it's working and it is so far. Several people now have updated positions that are talking in the forum.

And yes, the automatic login thing is still near the top of the list. I'm working on that.

Thanks Woody! Mine did the same thing on my iPad which is why I mentioned it. I'm not sure why it did it a few times but it did, and then it stopped. That's not ideal, but it's tolerable. That isn't something I can control on my end unfortunately. I just ask for the GPS position and it's up to the browser to make sure you give the permission to do so. Why it would ask two or three times I'm not sure.

I haven't received the pop-up yet.
